My son loves the Wild Kratts and has been begging me for a few years about having one. With the help of the internet and another blogger, I was able to pull it off. I got some great ideas for party decorations and activities. However, the party cost a little more than $100 but less than $500.
The most expensive party of the party is the food. You can’t throw a great party without putting in some money for food and drinks.
First, I gathered all the stuffed animals we had and I decorated the room with them. Then, I purchased the following items from amazon.
I bought plastic animals like these that I used to decorate the table and cake. I bought some candy to put inside the piñata as favors.
My son had a shultz Jeep from long ago and I used that along with some Wild Kratts figures that I put out on the cake.
I bought this Mystical Animal masks punch out book a few months ago for my son who wanted it since last UBAM convention. It’s awesome! It comes with 10 strikingly beautiful masks.
These masks would make a great party favor and would also make for a great activity. Unfortunately, I didn’t use them because it’s my son’s books, so I just displayed one mask-the mystical werewolf mask as decor and displayed the book.
I gave each guest a mini LEGO animal block kit and we built it.
Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how tiny the legos were. Talk about tiny!
I bought a backdrop with animals on it to add a little Wild Kratt flair to the room and cake table.
My son, likes Chris of the Kratt’s brothers the best. He had Chris’ green creature power suit. I thought about buying the Aviva’s purple creature power suit. And wearing it but I didn’t and I didn’t force my son to wear his during the party.
I bought these palm tablecloths and jungle party supplies at amazon, and a happy birthday banner at Walmart.
I ordered the cake from a friend Kristina, Sugar Pearl Sweets, I bought the animal figurines, and the figure set Chris, Martin, and Aviva and put a Jeep we bought from FAO Schurtz as a Wild Kratts Createrra. I couldn’t find the Createrra.
My son got this a cool jeep for Christmas a few years ago. I cleaned it and we put it on the cake.
Kristina makes the coolest cakes. She has real talent! The kids thought it was cool (my son couldn’t resist and started nibbling at the cakes outer layers).
I also had her make 6 gluten free cupcakes and 6 regular cupcakes, just in case we had a gluten allergy. The cake was clean looking and very professional.
Finally, I ordered some chicken nuggets and a bowl of fruit from Chick-Fil-A, and gave them each a Highlights book as party favors. Chick-Fil-A delivered the food. It was a time-saver.
While the kids were arriving I had them watch a Wild Kratts episode streamlined through Amazon Prime on the TV. They enjoyed watching the show and wandered around looking at the decorations.
It was a bit could outside for this time of year.
I bought some block animal kit as party favors that the kids would later build.
Once everyone arrived (at around 1 pm), we started in on the activities. I made the party from 12 to 5. To give the kids time to just play.
CREATURE POWER GAME
Our first game we played was the “Creature Power Game“.
We started with the Fish creature power disc. I showed it to them.
